One Knee Catch

Down on throwing-side knee, this drill forces an over-the-top throwing style. Broken movements first with extension and a follow through over and across the raised knee.

Olympics – Throwing

Throwing Drill for the Olympic Competition. Three levels of throws, increasing-distance on each. Make all three in a row = point earned. Miss at any of the cones = start over. Big-league call up” (point earned) on making all three in a row. 90-second game time.”

Olympics – Outfield

Olympics Competition drill for the Outfield station. Three fly balls (to left, to right, at athlete), each with points earned for four possible points of execution: footwork / effort / catch / throw. Tally the scores to get a point total for each athlete.

Olympics – Infield

Infield competition for the Olympics Practice. Work around the infield (second base –> shortstop –> third base). Four ground balls at each position: @, R, L, slow roller. Points earned for clean execution and accurate throw.

Olympics – Hitting

Olympics Competition drill for the Hitting Station. Essentially a Home Run Derby with a twist. Set up in outfield with defense positioned over-the-fence.

Olympics – Baserunning

Baserunning drill for the Olympic competition. Collect five scores fore each athlete and ‘sum’ them to determine the lowest total time. Award 5 points for the winner (lowest time total), 3 points for second place, and 1 point for third place.
